Tashard Choice College Career
Tashard Choice was selected in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
Tashard Choice began his collegiate career at Oklahoma University but transferred to Georgia Tech in 2005. Tashard Choice played high school football for Lovejoy High School where he recorded for 40 career all-purpose touchdowns. Tashard Choice is currently a History, Technology, and Society major and earned All-Big 12 Academic Honor Roll in 2004 along with All-ACC Academic Honor Roll in 2005-2006.
Tashard Choice rushed for 3,365 yards during his Georgia Tech career, becoming the fifth player in school history to gain over 3,000 yards on the ground, joining Robert Lavette (4,066 yards, 1981-84), Jerry Mays (3,699, 1985-89), Eddie Lee Ivery (3,517, 1975-78) and P.J. Daniels (3,346, 2002-05). His 675 rushing attempts at Tech are topped only by Robert Lavette (914), P.J. Daniels (707) and Jerry Mays (695) in the Tech record books. Tashard Choice 28 touchdowns rushing rank behind Robert Lavette (45) and Joe Burns (31) in Yellow Jackets annals. Tashard Choice's 18 100-yard rushing games tied the school record that was first set by Robert Lavette. His 1,473 yards on the ground in 2006 rank second on the school list behind Eddie Lee Ivery (1,562 in 1978) and his 1,379 yards in 2007 rank fourth (P.J. Daniels' 1,447 yards in 2003 rank third). Tashard Choice's 297 carries in 2006 set the school season record, topping the old mark of 283 attempts by P.J. Daniels in 2003. His 12 touchdowns rushing in 2006 are tied for fifth on the Tech single-season chart. Set another school record with nine consecutive 100-yard rushing performances in 2006. His 204 rushing yards vs. Miami in 2007 rank ninth on the school single-game list.
